The Center for Health Promotion is a unit within the Faculty of Nursing at Thammasat University. It was opened on the 3rd of May 2004 as a result of the Faculty’ s vision of its role in demonstrating the incorporation of health promotion within Nursing practice. The Center’s primary missions are to provide
(1) research and educational activities for both undergraduate and graduate students and
(2) professional services in their fields of health promotion. At present, the Center is developing the services, facilities, staff, and other infrastructure required to meet its goals. As those support systems are in place, a variety of health promotion activities will be provided.
The Fitness Center, established in 1998, is part of the Health Promotion Center and is an exercise unit for faculty, staff, students and the community. It has a variety of exercise equipment, including machines and free weights. It is one of the academic resources for the nursing programs and also serves the recreational needs of students, staff, and faculty. The Fitness Center provides information and assistance to students, staff and faculty on how to best utilize the Fitness Center facilities, and conducts classes to assist its members in optimizing their physical fitness. General hours of Operation : Monday-Friday (12.00 p.m. – 8.00 p.m.)
